JR, I could use a couple too (60hp). PM with total. Is there a thread for installation or do instructions come with them.

Received the speed plug Saturday. Looks great. Going to install it this next week.   Thanks for the install directions seems simple enough.

For what it's worth,  $75 is what Brian charged for them.  You've been doing them too cheap my friend.  We thank you for that, but you gotta make it worth doing.

received my speed plug (thanks JR).  just took out the old plug out of the 89 tomcat (it was pretty trashed) .    just wondering if it is the best/easiest to remove the impeller shaft to put the new one in, or does everyone leave the impeller shaft in place and work around it ??

I've done 2 with the shaft in place. It's really easy, I used lots of 5200, tried to seal around shaft hole so water would not get trapped between the plug and aluminum casting. Also felt this way I could be sure the shaft did not touch the plug.

If you leave the shaft in, it will help you center the plug in the correct place.
